Associate of Applied Science - Early Childhood Education

This Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education prepares students for a variety of roles with young children. The curriculum is grounded in equity, developmentally appropriate practices, and inclusion of families and communities Graduates of this program will be able to: Use knowledge of individual children and child development theory to promote learning for diverse groups of young children Use family centered practices to engage families and communities in the education of young children Observe, document, and assess learning to support development Use a wide array of developmentally, culturally, and linguistically sustaining approaches, strategies and tools.
